Getting ready for Saturday and KES. Once set these jars can be used for water and paint brushes, pencils and pens or as plant pot holders. Sweetie jars would be good for Halloween to go with the glasses to toast our departed during the witching hour.

I am so lucky that my lovely man went to an auction and purchased for me some Antique Hemp Sheets. I have sold some and kept the rest for my use. Today I decided to print on a big piece using my Gelli plate and the method we learnt with Alison Hulme over the past two days. It works a dream. I did try to not print in straight lines but at times something made me do it. I also chose colours I do not normally use. I have to say I like it. Just wondering if I should put some other motif randomly in a contrasting colour or a bling colour.

Today I went to the world Textile Day at Mundford and promised myself I would not buy anything but chat to friends old and new and listen to the talks. Well I have let myself down yet again because I fell in love with this fabric and book. Not to mention the  two printing blocks that found their way into my heart.

Today we put into practice everything we learnt yesterday and more. We had to line up screens for repeating patterns, use foiling, print using the Gelli plates and wallpaper just to mention a few of the techniques.

The two days have flown by. Alison has encouraged us, pushed us, cajoled us. Our time has been fun, full of creative and none creative chatter and we can’t wait till next year when Alison returns to Eau Brink Studio to do it all over again.
