Inspiration Is All Around Us

January 28, 2019by Anita

Inspiration is all around us at Eau Brink Studio.

I feel we are very lucky to live in a almost rural area. Not too far from the major shops but far enough to see the land changing with the seasons and the wildlife that comes into our garden.

Not to mention the domestic animals that roam around throughout the day that make me smile. The chickens have a new boyfriend who is young and learning to crow. Some of the girls are in love but one or two are not that bothered by him. Though they are the girls he is chasing.

The chickens love rummaging around in our log pile for bugs. This leads me to looking closely at it for inspiration. As this picture shows.  It has colour, texture, light and ice. Who would have thought it just from a pile of logs.

The same day I looked at the lake which was frozen and found bubbles trapped in the ice along with feathers from the ducks. It made fabulous patterns amongst the opaque ice. to take a look follow the link to https://www.facebook.com/eaubrinkstudio/videos/2138675026198386/

The sun is shining as I write this and the lake is shimmering. It is cold but the sheep do not mind as they have their lovely woolly coats on. And we hope are nurturing the next generation too.

The school children this last week had a lesson in looking at features and drawing funny faces. We made a crowd to show how much we are different and how we see each other. So whats happening at Eau Brink Studio?  Friday I am at the Silverwood Centre teaching creative sewing with your machine.

This day is designed to show you that your sewing machine can do more than sew in straight lines including using the programmed stitches for the more modern machines. So long as you can drop the feed dogs or cover them you can fee motion machine.

At the end of the day you will have a number of samples and a £d piece to take home.

In the studio I am hosting an Airbnb experience on Saturday for Powertex. I love hosting these as the customers get to play all day and create what they like. Using all the Powertex products they want. Send this link to your Airbnb customers and see if they fancy coming along for the day. https://www.airbnb.com/experiences/315009/book?scheduled_id=4259257
