6 week Drawing Course with Rachel Collier-Wilson
Rachel is a professional artist whose foundation for all her creativity is drawing. Rachel primarily uses ink drawing and linocut printmaking for her work.
Using a variety of materials Rachel will provide a fun and engaging series of workshops over the six weeks to help develop core skills for a wide range of creative activities. Working through simple exercises to help with observational skills.
Sessions will include:
- Having fun with the abstract and letting go your literal interpretation to help loosen up your inhibitions
- Exploring shapes form and texture.
- Experimenting with linear and tonal composition
- Observational skills.
- Techniques using pencil and charcole
During the drawing session, you’ll have the chance to, not only create your own artwork but also get some tips on how to improve your skills as an artist. At the end of the six weeks, you will have a portfolio of drawing using several different media and an insight into how drawing can be a very satisfying activity.
Only £270.00 for the 6 weeks. The day begins at 10 am and finishes at 4 pm. Refreshments provided but not lunch.
It is set in a lovely rural situation just off the A47 and you can join Anita there where she will teach you to make all kinds of textile art in safe regulated conditions that include:

Face masks are worn if demonstrations are taking place.
Hand sanitizers are situated at the entrance and in the bathroom facilities,
Disposable aprons and gloves.
The studio is light and airy and there are all sorts of hand and machine stitch workshops, Powertex and Eco dying.
Experimental Wednesdays takes place on the 3rd Wednesday of every month, where you are more than welcome to explore stitch and other textile art skills.
Anita will make you welcome and there might be other visitors there to chat with and share the experience . Cake and hot and cold drinks are available on tap through out the day. You will also find lots of other items for sale. Die Cut Kits can be collected from the Studio if preferred.
EBS Retail is the name of Anita’s shop at Long Sutton Emporium where you can get kits amongst many other items that Anita makes and buys in such things as haberdashery as well as fabric.
