Marvellous Magic Maps with Ruth Holmes

Create a map of your house and surrounding area, or a place you gave been to and loved or create a completely original place that has in it all the things you imagin would be there. We will be using techniques including image transfer, hand or free machine stitching to suit your preference. You will start by creating a plan and deciding on what you will want to make it into. For example this could be a hanging, book cover, cushion or picture. You will also be doing some drawing or tracing to create images to transfer onto you fabric. A variety of fabrics will be provided to choose from for the front, as will Bump and backing fabrics for the quilting. Images of buildings, trees, etc will be provided but please bring your own if you have a specific idea in mind. All threads and embellishments will be provided as usual.

All you have to do is bring yourself, your sewing kit and sewing machine and your lunch. All drinks are supplied and there are snacks and cake too.
